The Institute Lech Wałęsa is frequently invited to help address critical global problems. As a leading Foundation with extensive experience and numerous high-level relationships worldwide, we have the ability to assist other nonprofit organizations in accomplishing their goals. This is our reason to create ILW Partners: to help address life and death issues in the world today, with nonprofit partners who have a mission we can assist with.

Our First Priority

In Poland, 100,000 people die from cancer every year. Globally, 20 million people are diagnosed with cancer annually, while 10 million survive. Most research focuses on finding cures and medicines. Glass packaging for food can be found in supermarkets today. However, plastic packaging dominates the shelves. Inequity Repair, a California-registered nonprofit corporation, is determined to replace plastic packaging with glass in the dairy aisle, on the shelves filled with plastic water bottles, for convenience foods, condiments, and everywhere else.
